Limited edition print of my original painting ‘Owl in Gold’ inspired by Gustav Klimt’s ‘Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I.’ When I first saw the original piece in Manhattan's Neue Galerie, it left me speechless. I spent what seemed like an eternity studying it, observing the way the light played on a surface of gold leaf, taking in the intricate mosaic of details. I left inspired to recreate it, imagining what it’d look like if Adele were an owl. My original piece was done with acrylics on a wooden panel, using 24k gold leaf and silver leaf.

• Each print is hand-embellished by me with liquid gold and silver leaf and gloss gel coating to retain the brushstrokes
