Distant Home
This painting is based on one of my mandala paintings. The journey of finding myself again felt like searching for my heart in a deep forest. I'm grateful to be able to paint, transform my own stories into symbols and colors, share them, exhale them on canvases, giving them another home. I’m always curious to know what people feel when they look at my owls, what feelings they evoke in them, do they see something personal in encoded messages I leave all over them.

After the rain, there is always a warm ray of sun, cutting deep murky clouds. It may not come right away, it may submerge you into a waiting which could seem like an eternity. But it always comes. And it’s always full of light. And there is always your breath, which comes and goes like an ocean wave.
