Breath
Breath
I painted this owl during the first week of lockdown in 2020. I process feelings using colors while immersing in painting from head to toe. I found it to be the best way to understand myself even if all I can find in my head is a whirl of unfinished thoughts, crumbled into uneven sentences. I just pick up a brush and allow them to come out, trying not to suppress anything. After the rain there is always a warm ray of sun, cutting the deep murky clouds. It may not come right away, it may submerge you into a waiting that could seem like an eternity. But it always comes. And it’s always full of light. And there is always your breath, which comes and goes, like an ocean wave.
